“Imagine blue skies, crisp mountain air, 28 degrees at Europe’s highest altitude dance music festival; welcome Vertigo.”

Fusing one of nature’s most unspoiled areas of natural beauty, nestled amongst the undulating valleys of Italy’s panoramic mountain range, for three days and three nights, Vertigo Festival will play host to a world class array of underground electronic dance musicians, delivering a musical experience like no other.  This exciting festival is brand new for 2013, and as the highest altitude summer electronic music festival, Vertigo is set to be one of the highlights of the summer.

Location

Boasting breathtaking panoramic views of the Italian Alps, Pragelato is most commonly renowned for hosting the ski-jumping and cross-country skiing events at the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics.  The festival itself will take place at the base of those infamous ski-jumps which are regarded as one of the Winter Olympics most iconic venues.

Situated close to several natural parks (Val Troncea and Orsiera Rocciavre), the area is rich with unspoiled woodland and mysterious natural habitats, providing an entirely contrasting environment during the summer months, from its snow covered slopes throughout the autumn and winter seasons.

Imagine sunlit summer days, clear blue skies and the fresh mountain air, all of which combined provide an optimum environment in which to kick-back, relax and enjoy the party.  With a capacity of around just 4,000 people, all those lucky enough to attend Vertigo Festival, will be able to indulge upon 18 hours of hand-picked music, across each of the 3 days and nights, in the most intimate of surroundings.

Line Up

Welcoming an array of top International brands, labels and artists to their mountain-top event, Vertigo maintains a strict music policy, showcasing only the finest cutting-edge music from its carefully selected line-up of Deep and Tech-House DJs and Producers.

Manchester & Ibiza powerhouse Sankeys will be venturing outside of their familiar Club environment for the first time, adding Darius Syrossian and Enzo Siragusa to the equation while Culprit LA will also be bringing their Downtown Los Angeles rooftop vibe to the rolling mountains with Droog, M.A.N.I.K, Inxec, Climbers and Lula Circus.

Vertigo also welcomes one of London’s most exciting and forward thinking labels in Art Of Dark, who will be showcasing DJ W!LDHector and their stalwart residents Jack & IColinChiddle and Charlie Dave Kent, with several other exciting additions due to be announced.

Complementary to the exquisite array of label showcases, Vertigo Festival will offer a platform to some of the UK and Europe’s most exciting emerging club brands.  From DepartureSolid GroovesTroupe and Virunga to Malta’s leading brand Panoptic, festival goers can expect a fun-loving atmosphere as brands join together to assure Vertigo Festival is one of the summer’s must visit destination festivals.

Accommodation

Upon arrival in the mountains, you will find plenty of affordable accommodation.  From hotels and apartments to chalets and campsites, you can decide to maximise the great outdoors experience, camping under the stars upon a mountain top, or take the more luxurious option, benefiting from a 3* Hotel Package, where you will enjoy 360 degree, panoramic mountainous views from your spacious balcony.

Most accommodation can be found in the nearby resort of Sestriere, located slightly up the road from Pragelato, where Vertigo Festival takes place.  Built in the 1930s by the Fiat Family, the picturesque resort of Sestriere really does offer you a quintessential taste of Italy.  From traditional cafes and quaint trattorias, to the hustle and bustle of the Italian market on a Saturday, you will be able to enjoy all of the finer things which Italy has to offer, above and beyond 3 days and nights of exquisite partying.
