Common People is the most modish festival down south and will feature a host of headliners along with the UK’s most up and coming bands. The Common Stage is where the biggest headline acts will play this year and festival goers on Saturday can look forward to an appearance from the iconic Fat Boy Slim, a unique mélange of classical Mozart and electronica from Clean Bandit, the dream-pop sensation that is Jaws – Birmingham’s most popular recent indie band and the peppy duo Science of Eight Limbs.

Sunday will see the global icon and all round radical lady Grace Jones performing Jamaican themed classics such as Slave To The Rhythm and Pull Up To The Bumper, all with a dynamite theatrical presence that screams artistic nuance. Dexters – East London’s brashest indie band – will be also be performing on Sunday, as well as The Rising – Scotland’s biggest tribute to Bruce Springsteen.

Uncommon Stage is an eagerly anticipated highlight of Common People this year – a venue dedicated to up and coming artists. Uncommon Stage gives an insight into the future of music, with newcomers in everything from indie and rock to the crème de la crème of laptop producers. There is no finer place to discover your favourite new band than Uncommon Stage.

Common People will also have a host of delicious street foods, incredible cocktails and a banquet of craft beers. The Day of the Dead Cocktail Bus, an authentic, hand painted American school bus, will offer concoctions with a kick whilst you enjoy big beats in the sun.
