Radio 1’s flagship annual event is next month starting on Friday 23rd May 2014 and coming to an epic end on Sunday 25th May. The event is in Glasgow next month but all the tickets have been sold out but you can still watch the event on the Big Weekend website.
Radio 1’s DJ’s Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Zane Lowe and Danny Howard will say hello and rub shoulders with the crème de la crème of DJ’s including Tiesto who is the world most expensive DJ and One Direction. They said “We're so excited to perform at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Glasgow. Glasgow we're coming to get you!”
Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw revealed earlier in his show that Lily Allen, Jake Bugg, Coldplay, Bastille and Pharrel Williams had already been confirmed.
Performing on the Main stage on Friday 23rd May performing is Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Pete Tong, Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Danny Howard. On Saturday 24th May, Radio 1 have announced that Coldplay, One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Pharrel, Bastille, Lily Allen and Jake Bugg. Katy Perry, Paolo Nutini, Kings of Leon, Tinie Tempah, Rita Ora, The 1975, John Newman and The Vamps on Sunday 25th May.
After One Direction open up on Saturday they will head straight to Dublin to perform as part of their Where We Are Stadium Tour.
