30 – 21 May: Gothenburg, Sweden

13 – 14 June: Stockholm, Sweden

Summerburst is a Swedish electronic dance music festival that, despite having only started up in 2011, is quickly gaining notoriety and popularity, firmly establishing itself as the one to beat on the European festival scene. Year after year it attracts the biggest and most exciting artists on the house, electronic and dance music scene.  After 2011’s sell-out weekend, Summerburst took on two locations for 2012, with both Gothenburg and Stockholm playing host.  The festival transforms their city centre locations into a massive outdoor day club, and with just three hours of darkness in Sweden at this time of year, it’s the perfect opportunity to dance the day away.  With numbers predicted at over 108,000 across both cities, Summerburst is Sweden’s largest music festival.

2014 is set to be a huge year for the festival, with internationally acclaimed French DJ and producer David Guetta headlining both locations, Calvin Harris (who holds the record for most top ten hits from a single studio album) appearing exclusively in Stockholm, and Dutch DJ Tiesto heading for  Gothenburg.  Other acts over both locations include Hardwell, R3HAB,and dance music trioKrewella, who getting their big break in 2013 when they were voted ‘Best breakthrough Artist’ at WMC in MiamiAfter the cold and darkness of the Arctic winter months have passed and summer finally breaks through, the Swedes are very much ready to party, and Summerburst is there waiting to greet them with open arms.
