Rapanui Launch Desert Island Disco Range of T-Shirts

Posted: 19th August 2014 16:41

Are you fully prepped for our Bestival 2014 Desert Island Disco fest? Whether you’ve already got your sparkly attire ready to roll, or you’re still frantically sewing sequins to your dad’s flares, which haven’t seen the light of day since the 70s, never fear, we’re here to help disco-up your Bestival suitcase!

Bestival is always bang on-trend when it comes to a theme – from the likes of Outer Space in 2009, to HMS Bestival in 2013 – we’ve inspired some truly fancy dressing and a wealth of comical costumes! Excited by the boundless possibilities of this year’s Desert Island shenanigans, our good friends and t-shirt impresarios Rapanui have created a deliciously disco-infused range of beautiful t-shirts. Sure to compliment any wonderfully wacky costume you may have planned, they’re also the perfect starting point for anyone in need of just a little bit o’ inspiration! The collection includes Men’s, Women’s & Kids’ tees, featuring an array of designs that will blow your minds with insane amounts of disco, toucans, pineapples, palm trees, mirror balls and tie-dye! At just £19 for a tee and £40 for a sweat, most designs are available in different colours and sizes giving you plenty of scope to get creative and experiment! And that’s not all – they’re super eco-friendly to boot!

Martin Drake, co-founder and designer at Rapanui explains the thinking behind this year’s collection; “We’re stoked to be able to put together a collection based on the themes of Bestival rather than just one tee – we’ve always struggled to whittle it down to one and I think this year we’ve got a collection of winners; they’ve come out looking awesome and they fit perfectly with this year’s disco, desert island, tie dye hippy themes – they just looks rad.”

Rob Drake-Knight explains the link between Bestival and Rapanui: “We’re chuffed that we’re able to work closely with Bestival on this project – we share the same values; on sustainability, what a good product (or event!) should look like, and what makes something cool, so any opportunity to collaborate with Bestival is something we look forward to.”
