21 – 24 May
Catton Hall, South Derbyshire
Weekend tickets £87
Over the Bank Holiday weekend, the family friendly, laid back, fancy dress party with beards, bands and DJs, is set to return to Catton Hall on the West Midlands, Staffordshire and South Derbyshire border for its eighth outing.
The largest performing and creative arts festival in the Midlands area attracts a modest line-up across its four stages, enhanced by strong headline acts from James, New Model Army and The Mission. Other highlights include crafts and healing in the Earth Area, Groovie Movie Screenings in the cinema tent, and a Sunday morning workout session with special guest Mr Motivator.
Chin curtains, French forks and friendly mutton chops can all take refuge at this beard-loving festival. Each year, Bearded Theory attempts to break its own unofficial world record for the most people wearing beards in one place so those who are follically challenged in their ability to grow sufficient facial hair will want to get involved by donning a fake beard for the weekend.
