Location
North Goa
Known and loved as a land of golden beaches, palm trees, paddy fields and tropical forests. Historic churches and temples blend in with colourful culture and a general theme of “Suse Gaad”, which literally means “Chill Out” in Konkani. After a busy day of adventure and relaxing in the sun explore Goa’s legendary nightlife, munch on a variety of cuisines, or discover the secret spots of the new age Goan culture.
Ashwem & Mandrem Beach
Nestled between the Chapora River to the South and the Terekhol River in the North, Vaayu is located on a magical little lagoon that flows into the ocean. During the winter Ashwem transforms in to an international village as people from every country in the world descend on this dreamland with a unified purpose; to just be. After a chill morning surf or paddle session take a stroll down the beach and drop in at the electric French restaurant La Plage or relax by the pool at Soma, Bardo or Shanti while artists and DJs twist the grooviest tunes of season.
Accommodation
The Vaayu Village includes everything needed for a quick escape to paradise including a cosy set of cottages and Teepees, the Vaayu Adventure Centre, Vaayu’s watersports and lifestyle store, a tea lounge, an experimental art gallery and yoga studio.
Each cottage represents one of the body’s chakras inviting you to awaken different aspects of your being, with the intention of supporting a balance in the mind, body and soul. Enjoy a picturesque view of the river, ocean and sacred geometrically inspired vegetable and herb garden; views you can enjoy on your own balcony as you sip on a coconut or nap in the shade of the surrounding trees. The cottages have everything you need after a long day on the beach like a nice hot and comfy bed with organic sheets.
The Vaayu Tea Lounge Rooftop Gallery
The Vaayu Tea Lounge overlooks the Ashwem creek and beach, and is a view best enjoyed with the sun setting over the neighbourhood chapel. It is a communal space to be enjoyed by guests and customers, with low tables and floor seating. A variety of teas and coffee are available 24 hours a day, as well as free Wi-Fi. This is a versatile space; it also contains a rooftop art gallery, a small yoga area and a kitchenette. Artists participating in the Vision Collective come up here for studio work, to exchange ideas and to share their finished pieces. Currently on display along the length of the tea lounge is a series of black and white photographs by Poorna. On 28 February, the gallery will have its first show opening, featuring the paintings of Miles Toland entitled “Driftwood”. At the moment, the space is also home to two stray kittens that Vaayu is fostering.
Vision Collective
The Vision Collective allows Vaayu to express its artistic side by sponsoring an artist residency at its old location in Girkarwado. The artist from this residency use the tea lounge and rooftop gallery at the Vaayu Waterman’s Village to display and work on their art, and live painting is almost a daily occurrence. Through this Vision Collective, it is hoped Vaayu can facilitate inspiration and the creation of art.
The Adventure Centre
All of the surf, SUP, kayak, kite surfing and wakeboarding courses, rentals and trips offered by Vaayu are run out of the Adventure Centre by certified and passionate instructors and guides.
Vaayu Surf Shop
Vaayu is proud to have just opened the doors to its first comprehensive water sports shop. They have everything you need to get into surfing, kite surfing, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, and wakeboarding. They carry and represent 19 different companies bringing you top of the line equipment, repair merchandise, accessories and apparel from all over the world.
Yoga Studio
Decompress in the roof top yoga studio and surrender to the flow of the river that surrounds you. Alternatively, hop on an SUP yoga session on the river itself.
Prakrti Tribe
The Prakrti Tribe embodies Vaayu’s social consciousness. This entity helps sponsor beach clean ups, environmental education campaigns, and partnerships with various like-minded nonprofits who care about restoring and conserving the natural environment. It is Vaayu’s mission to forever be an eco-conscious company by giving 1% of all its earning back to the planet, and by becoming a shop for change brand. They committed to leaving the world a better a place then they found it!

Excursions
Goa Downwinder
For intermediate to advanced riders who want a Vaayu powered tour of the gorgeous beaches in North Goa. An IKO certified guide will accompany you on the three hour journey that begins in Arambol and ends on Morjim Beach.
A brief stop along the way for a quick drink or espresso is included in the trip. Complete gear rental from Vaayu’s brand new 2014 Liquid Force line is included or you can bring your own gear for a discounted rate.
Morning Paddle Voyage
A stimulating and relaxing experience awaits you as you paddle along Arambol beach to the magical Sweetwater Lake. The morning sun cuts through the turquoise ocean beneath you and dolphins glide beside you till a magical beach is reached lined with a lakeside tropical forest.
Sunset Paddle Excursions
A sunset paddle down the golden Terekhol River is the perfect way to end your day. Be prepared, you could share your journey with some river dolphins as you cruise into the sunset.
Paradise Lagoon Day Trip
