Sir Ranulph Fiennes To Open The Adventure Travel Show

Posted: 2nd December 2014 11:42

Don’t miss your chance to meet Britain’s most famous explorer as he opens The Adventure Travel Show 2015 – Olympia, London on Saturday 17th January

Sir Ranulph Fiennes was described by The Guinness Book of Records as the “world’s greatest living explorer”, and has since gone on to break many more world records and led many more expeditions to remote regions. He truly is an icon for adventurous travel.

Having been the first person to reach both the North and South poles by foot, Sir Ranulph has not just limited himself to one type of adventure – he also led the first unsupported crossing of the Antarctic Continent which was in turn the longest unsupported polar journey in history, ran 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents (soon after suffering a major heart attack and a double bypass), climbed the North Face of Eiger and even conquered Everest in 2009 (aged 65) – and these are only a selection of his incredible feats!

Sir Ranulph Fiennes will be opening The Adventure Travel Show at 9am at London’s Olympia on Saturday 17th January 2015. He will then be available for a meet & greet session within the show from 9:15am, followed by his talk which will take place in the main Adventure Auditorium at 10am. Sir Ranulph’s talk and more than 100 other show talks are included within the cost of the show ticket (£8 in advance or £10 on the door).
