In the heart of central Europe lies an adrenaline fuelled playground.  Switzerland has a plethora of adventure travel opportunities that uses the great outdoors as a jungle gym, offering all sorts of exhilarating, heart pumping activities.  The picturesque mountain villages and dramatic peaks provide the most irresistible backdrop as you hurtle through the air or scale a mountainside.

Places such as Interlaken and the Jungfrau region allow adrenaline junkies the chance to find their fix or tick a few things off their bucket list as they take on a once-in-a-lifetime experience.  The options are almost endless.  Whether it is the ultimate adventure activity of skydiving in front of the Eiger Nordwand or paragliding, which is essentially just falling with style (yes that is a Toy Story quote) there is something for everyone here.  For those who do not want to test Newton’s theory of gravity though, you can simply enjoy the stunning views of desolate hillsides from the comfort of a helicopter.

You do not even have to “reach for the sky” to enjoy any blood pumping fun either, you can stay grounded and take it ‘easy’ by taking in the magnificent mountainous settings by enjoying a hike or mountain bike trail, or even some glacier trekking.  In the winter, The Alps are an obvious attraction for many winter sports enthusiasts with skiing and snowboarding opportunities aplenty.  From whichever angle you choose, it is impossible to deny the enrapturing beauty of Switzerland – the powerful mountains, winding rivers and verdant forests will linger long in the memory.
